lol do i like tourists? NO! haha. i actually cant stand em. But all is good. Well dont eat at any restaurant in a popular square 1st of all..youll get ripped off bigtime [ie piaza navona, campo dei'fiori..etc.] as for nightlife i tend to go where to tourists are because the italian guys are just gross here.

Rome hmm..what exactly are you wanting to do? Colosseum/forum & palatine hill will take you at least a day and same with the vatican. The pantheon, spanish steps, trevi fountain, piaza navona and republica and barberini can all be done in a day together. those are easy. as for nightlife and drinking head to Trastevere & definately visit Campo de'Fiori at night. its south of Navona but really close. If you're looking for nightclubs and dancing head down to Testaccio near Ostiense. You can walk there from Trastevere but unless you know the area you'll get lost. it's about an 8-12 euro taxi ride from the Campo area.
